June 26: Day Two

Hola mi gente. So today I fully stocked the refrig at work to make sure I had all my meals ready to go. My apologies to my boss because there isn't any room for his food. Ahahaha!!!

Whoo let me tell you, I am sore from that darn fit test. So glad that is over because those push-ups really did me in. On day two our workout was upper body. We did the "normal" warm-up which I call mini workout before we workout. lol. It kills me every single time. But my goal is to push through it and get it done. We worked on our upper body. Yes, more push-ups. Ah, I have a love hate with them but I will working on that. But I felt great after that workout for sure.

For dinner I made this awesome Avocado Lime Chicken Salad (no mayo, salt) with a hint of pepper flakes, cilantro, & fresh lime juice. It was to die for.

June 27: Day Three

Check out my lunch. Edamame, sautéed cabbage with pepper flakes (spicy food is my thing), and lentil soup (homemade by ME).

Todays workout was challenage for real. I mean I knew my core was weak but dang its really weak weak. :( But then again I had a baby almost 11 months ago so it is expected. But I do know that if I continue to work hard and continue on my journey, that will all change. Looking forward to that change. Yea Yea!!! ;-)

Did someone day dinner time???

I will have to say that I am excited to share that I'm having an awesome time cooking all my meals. I LOVE cooking so all this is great for me. Cooking is theraputic for me. Lol. Anyhow, I have been searching for all kind of "clean" recipes. Even though I still have so much to learn, I am on the right path. I hope to feed my daugther some of the yummy recipes so she can start eating healthy too. :) I found this cool website that you need to check out http://www.edibleharmony.com/ . It has some unbelievable, delicious recipes. Whole Food trip is necessary because I need to stock up on some basics ingredients so I can get creative in the kitchen. Yum!

June 28: Day Four

Okay so today was a good busy stressful day in the life of Glodil. But I keep trekking along. I had some good meals today. Lunch was delicious along with my snacks. Sorry no photos of them. :(
I arrive early to the Worx hoping to feed my baby before class, only to realize how hungry I was. Who is going to feed me??? Lol. I munched on some almonds, spicy peanuts, and some seaweed chips thanks to a fellow journeyman.

I feel horrible because I do not remember the coaches’ name from today's workout but girlfriend killed it. Honestly, I thought it was going to be an easy workout but within minutes I was dying and sweating like nobody's business. One thing I will say is that I am glad I had my girls: Veronica & Claudia by my side because she pushed me harder and working in our little team is always fun. I love it because I get to spend some real quality time. :) They push me and I push them. So thanks for the hardest workout I've had this whole week. Ooo I know I was going to sleep good this night.

My goal for the rest of the week is to get one good total body workout at the gym. Need to incorporate some strength training too. My motto: “gets it right, get it tight". ;)

June 25th: I went to the WORX by Maia with a feeling of determination mixed in with some crazy excitement. We did the "normal" warm-up which in my opinion really isn't a warm-up, it’s a mini workout in itself. lol. It kills me every single time. Sweating bullets like crazy but deep down inside I LOVE IT!

Anyhow, after our killer warm-up a.k.a mini workout, we had our FIT TEST. Whoo! This test literally was going to be the death of me. It consisted of kicks, jacks, jumps, burpies, and more. I would like to put out there how much I HATE ----> burpies. Okay, maybe I am being a little dramatic but I strongly dislike them. They get me every time.

On a bright note.....I did realize that I am a lot stronger than I thought I was. I definitely need to give myself some major kudos. :) I was able to do 16 push-ups and YES, I am talking about regular push-ups. Okay now. WOW, that is right!!! High five to myself, man!!! Ahaha!

Onto the not so fun part of our first day- MEASUREMENTS! Yikes! Now, mind you I know that I am over weight; heck I just had a baby 10 ½ months ago. So at my current weight I am actually considered obese. Uh, such an ugly word if you ask me. Just saying.

So here are my scores: 13, 13, 38½, 37, 43, 23½, 23½, 191, and 33.8. Yes, I know these numbers mean nothing to you but they mean everything to me. But I know that with this determination & dedication, I will achieve successful results. Not for a minute will these numbers deter or depress me. They are my challenge.

June 26: So ready to conquer day two. Eat, eat, eat, and eat some more. I think I should put in a request to move the water cooler over to my desk. Ahahaha!!!

See you at 6:15pm at the WORX by Maia!!!

Holla!

So the Journey begins TODAY! Last night I swear it felt like it was the night before my first day of school. LOL. Mind you, I haven't been in school since 2004. WOW!!! Time flies. Anyhow, so I went ahead and planned all my cute workout outfits for the week (so that I don’t forget anything). Ahaha!!!! Yes, I said cute outfits.

Organization and planning will be my main tactics in succeeding on this Journey.

I am super-duper excited for this week and the next 55 days. :) On mission: "Get it Right, Get it Tight"!

See you at The WORX by Maia

Pre-Journey Post

Hello there Peeps:

So I am brand spanking new to this blogging business but here I go. This past week I decided that I needed to make a change in my life. Most people try simple hobbies but not I. I need a real challenge; something to kick my booty like never before. I signed up for a 60 Day Journey thru The Worx by Maia.

To get me ready for this Journey I decided to take my first class at The Worx on Monday and let me tell you sumthing…..I nearly was about to die and sweating like never before. Those dang push-ups where going to be the death of me but somehow I survived and felt amazing afterwards. I went back for more on Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Good Lord, I think I found myself a new crack!!!  J Lol.

Let’s just say I am beyond excited to start this Journey. And for those of you on this Journey with me; I am excited for you too. Let the Journey begin….come on Monday, I am ready for you. Hope you follow me on my Journey because there is more to come.

Holla!

P.S. Please if you ever see me struggling or trying to quit, just remind me that I am “Layla’s mom”.
